Meaning of Ramos de Manzanillas by León Gieco (the story behind)

"Ramos de Manzanillas" is a song by Argentine singer-songwriter León Gieco. The song is a poignant reflection on the impact of war on humanity. Gieco uses the metaphor of a bouquet of chamomile flowers, traditionally a symbol of tranquility, to represent the innocent victims of war. He sings about the fragility of life and the sadness that war brings, contrasting it with the peacefulness and beauty of a field of chamomile. Through his lyrics, Gieco conveys a powerful message about the senselessness of war and the need for peace and understanding among people.
