Meaning of Play Selection - Interlude by Janet Jackson (the story behind)

Janet Jackson's "Play Selection - Interlude" serves as a short, instrumental transition piece within her discography. While it does not have specific lyrics or a defined narrative, the song's purpose is to provide a brief pause or intermission between other tracks on the album. It allows the listener to take a moment and reflect on the music they have just heard before moving on to the next song. The soothing melodies and calming atmosphere of the interlude create a sense of tranquility and preparation for what is to come next in the album, adding depth and cohesion to the overall listening experience.
