1.The short version
Jigsaw Puzzles has no accounts and no sign-in. We do not ask for your name, your email address or your phone number, and we do not collect them.
Your puzzle progress, your settings and any photos you turn into puzzles stay on your device. They are never uploaded to us.
The app is free and supported by ads. The advertising is served by Google AdMob, which does collect data — including your device's advertising identifier — and that is the main way information about you leaves the device. Section 7 explains exactly what, and section 8 explains how to control it.
The rest of this document is the detail behind those three points. If anything here is unclear, write to us at therealworld565@gmail.com.
2.Who we are and what this covers
This policy is issued by LH SYSTEMS, the entity named as the developer on the app's Google Play listing. In this document, "we", "us" and "our" mean that entity, and "you" means the person using the app.
It covers exactly one thing: the Android application Jigsaw Puzzles, distributed through Google Play. It does not cover any other app we may publish, any website, or any third-party service you reach from the app.
3.What we do not collect
It is easier to start with what is absent. The app has no account system, so there is nothing to register and nothing to log in to. We do not ask for, collect or store:
- your name, email address, phone number or postal address;
- your contacts, calendar, call log or messages;
- your precise or approximate location;
- your microphone or camera input — the app opens neither;
- health, financial or biometric information;
- a device identifier of our own — the app does not read the Android ID, the serial number or any similar hardware identifier.
The app contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no social-network SDK and no push notifications. It does not track you across other apps or websites on our behalf.
4.What stays on your device
The app saves a small amount of information locally so that it behaves like a game rather than a form you fill in every time. All of it lives in the app's private storage on your device:
| What | Why it exists |
|---|---|
| Puzzle progress — which pieces you have placed, per puzzle and per difficulty | So you can leave a board half finished and come back to it |
| Which puzzles you have started or completed | To fill the "Started" tab and show progress in the gallery |
| Puzzles you created from your own photos, and the images behind them | So your own puzzles survive closing the app — see section 5 |
| Settings, such as whether background music is on | So the app remembers your preference |
| Whether the rating prompt has already been shown | So you are not asked repeatedly |
| Your advertising consent choices | To honour your answer and avoid asking again unnecessarily |
| A cached copy of the puzzle catalogue and downloaded images | So the app opens faster and uses less data |
None of this is sent to us, and none of it is readable by other apps. Uninstalling the app removes all of it.
5.Your photos
The app lets you turn one of your own pictures into a puzzle. This is worth spelling out because photos are personal:
- Choosing a picture uses the Android photo picker, a screen provided by the operating system. The app therefore asks for no storage permission and has no access to your gallery — the system hands over only the single image you pick.
- That image is copied into the app's private storage so your puzzle keeps working later. It is not uploaded to our servers, to the advertising network, or anywhere else. It never leaves your device.
- Deleting the puzzle inside the app deletes the copy. Uninstalling the app deletes all of them. Your original picture in your gallery is never modified or removed.
6.What is sent to our servers
The puzzle catalogue — the categories and the images you play — is downloaded from our servers, so the app needs an internet connection to browse and open new puzzles. Each request carries only:
- An application identifier, a fixed number that tells the server which app is asking, so it returns the right catalogue. It is the same for every user of this app and identifies the app, not you.
-
Your device's language code (for example
EN,ES,DE), used only to return category names in that language. - A request signature, a cryptographic value that lets the server verify the request came from the app and was not tampered with. It contains no information about you.
There is no user identifier, no advertising identifier and no device fingerprint in these requests. We cannot tell one player from another, and we do not build a profile of you.
Server logs. Like any internet service, our server receives your device's IP address as a technical necessity of answering the request, and may record it in standard access logs together with the date, the requested address and the app version. We use those logs only to keep the service running, diagnose faults and detect abuse. They are retained for 30 days and then deleted. We do not use them to identify you or to advertise to you.
7.Advertising and Google AdMob
The app is free and is paid for by advertising. Ads are delivered by Google AdMob, a service of Google. AdMob is an independent data controller for the data it collects: it decides how that data is used, we do not.
To select and measure ads, Google's advertising software running inside the app may collect:
-
your device's advertising identifier (the Android Advertising ID) — a
resettable identifier the app declares the
AD_IDpermission for; - your IP address, and a coarse location derived from it, such as your country;
- device and app information: device model, operating system version, language, screen characteristics, network type, and the identifier of this app;
- ad interactions: which ads were requested, shown, viewed or clicked, and whether they led to an install.
Google uses this to serve ads, limit how often you see the same one, measure performance and detect fraud. Depending on your consent, ads may be personalised — chosen using data about your interests, including from your activity in other apps and on other sites — or non-personalised, chosen from context and coarse location only. Note that non-personalised ads still use the advertising identifier for frequency capping and fraud prevention.
What Google does with this data is governed by Google's own terms, which we cannot alter:
- Google Privacy Policy
- How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services
- About AdMob and privacy
We receive from Google only aggregate, anonymous reports — impressions, clicks, revenue. We never receive your advertising identifier or any data that identifies you.
8.Your advertising choices
You are not stuck with the defaults. You can:
- Change your consent inside the app. Where consent applies — in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, and anywhere else the law requires it — the app asks before any personalised advertising happens, using Google's consent form. You can reopen that form at any time from the app's Privacy menu entry and change or withdraw your answer.
- Opt out of personalised ads on the device. In Android, open Settings → Privacy → Ads (the exact path varies by manufacturer and version) and choose to delete or opt out of the advertising ID. If you delete it, apps can no longer read it at all.
- Reset your advertising ID in the same screen, which breaks the link with any profile previously built around it.
Withdrawing consent does not remove the ads — the app remains ad-supported — it makes them non-personalised.
9.Permissions and why they exist
| Permission | What it is for |
|---|---|
INTERNET |
Download the puzzle catalogue and images, and load ads |
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE |
Detect whether there is a connection, so the app can show a clear error instead of hanging |
ACCESS_WIFI_STATE |
Required by the Google Mobile Ads SDK |
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID |
Lets the advertising SDK read the resettable advertising identifier — see section 7 |
VIBRATE |
Short haptic feedback when a piece snaps into place |
The app requests no storage, camera, microphone, location or contacts permission. Picking a photo goes through the system photo picker instead, which needs none.
10.How the information is used
- To run the game: save your progress, remember your settings, and keep your own puzzles working.
- To deliver content: return the right puzzle catalogue, in your language.
- To show advertising and pay for the app's development, as described in section 7.
- To keep the service working and safe: diagnose faults, prevent abuse and fraud.
- To comply with the law where we are required to.
We do not use your information for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we make no automated decisions about you.
11.Who the information is shared with
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with:
| Party | What they receive | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google (AdMob and the User Messaging Platform) | Advertising identifier, IP address, device and app information, ad interactions, consent choices | To serve, measure and cap advertising, and to record your consent |
| Our hosting provider, BANAHOSTING | The technical data in section 6, including the IP address in server logs | To host the servers that deliver the puzzle catalogue |
| Google Play | Whatever Google Play collects when you download or update an app | Distribution of the app, governed by Google's own policy |
| Authorities | Only what a valid legal request requires | Where we are legally obliged, or to establish or defend legal claims |
If the app or the business behind it is ever transferred to another company, this information may be transferred with it; you would be told before it happened and this policy would continue to apply until replaced.
12.Retention and deletion
- Everything stored on your device stays until you delete it. Removing a puzzle deletes its data; clearing the app's storage from Android settings, or uninstalling the app, removes all of it at once. You do not need our help and you do not need to ask us.
- Server logs are kept for 30 days and then deleted.
- Data held by Google for advertising is retained according to Google's own retention rules, which are described in the Google Privacy Policy linked in section 7.
Because there are no accounts, we hold nothing that would let us find "your" data on request — there is no profile to delete. If you believe we hold information about you nonetheless, write to us and we will look.
13.Children
This app is not directed to children. Its target audience is 13 years old and over, and it is not part of Google Play's Designed for Families programme.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the higher age of digital consent that applies in your country). If you are a parent or guardian and you believe a child has provided personal information through this app, contact us at therealworld565@gmail.com and we will delete what we can and take reasonable steps to prevent it recurring.
14.Your rights in the EEA and the UK
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, data protection law gives you rights over your personal data. Where we act as a controller, our legal bases are:
- Consent — for personalised advertising and for the storing of, or access to, information on your device where consent is required. You may withdraw it at any time, with effect for the future.
- Legitimate interests — for keeping the service running and secure, preventing fraud, and showing non-personalised advertising to fund a free app.
- Legal obligation — where the law requires us to keep or disclose something.
You have the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have data erased;
- restrict or object to processing, including objecting to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time;
- lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, write to therealworld565@gmail.com. We answer within one month. Be aware of the honest limitation described in section 12: with no accounts and no identifiers of our own, we usually cannot connect a request to any data on our side. For the data Google holds for advertising, you will need to exercise your rights with Google.
15.Your rights in the United States
If you live in California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion or correction, to opt out of its sale or of "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, personalised advertising as described in section 7 may qualify as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law. You can opt out by declining or withdrawing consent in the app's Privacy menu, or by deleting or opting out of the advertising ID in your Android settings, as described in section 8. We honour opt-out preference signals where we are required to.
To make a request, write to therealworld565@gmail.com.
16.International transfers
Our servers are located in USA. Google operates globally, so data collected for advertising may be processed in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where personal data is transferred out of the EEA or the UK, it is protected by the safeguards recognised in law — typically the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision. Google's own documentation describes the safeguards it applies.
17.Security
Requests between the app and our servers travel over HTTPS and are cryptographically signed, so they cannot be read or altered in transit. Data saved on your device is held in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read on a normal, non-rooted device.
No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. What limits the damage here is how little there is: no accounts, no passwords, no personal profiles.
18.Links to other services
Tapping an advertisement, the "Rate" menu entry, or a share option opens a service we do not control — an advertiser's page, the Google Play Store, or whichever app you share with. What happens there is governed by that service's own privacy policy, not this one.
19.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes or the law does. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version, and the current version is always the one published at this address. If a change materially affects how your data is handled, we will make it noticeable in the app rather than relying on you to re-read this page — and where the change requires your consent, we will ask for it before it takes effect.
20.How to contact us
